A pre-construction meeting was held and it was agreed by all attending that the library roof would be the first to be done. A discussion was held on this project and the Board suggested removing the ceiling tiles after the roof is finished.
The carpeting has been ordered and will be installed the week of June 6th – 10th. The library will be closed that week. An additional $600 has been added to the purchase order for the cost of disassembling and moving any shelving units we no longer need.
The Checkpoint security system has been partially installed. Completion will be later in the month.
The newspaper folder system has been installed.
The price of the carpeting came in at less than what was originally quoted. The excess money will be used to purchase chairs for the adult department.
Discussion was held on the Book Fair scheduled for April 21st – 23rd. The proceeds will be used to purchase an outside sign for the library.
Marian gave a technology update. Our systems are running reliably. This will improve with our new server, which has arrived but is not yet installed.
