OLD BUSINESS
The Census Dept. has been contacted and they will not be moving forward until 2009. The library will reach out to them at that time.
The summer reading club is going very well this year. Marian stated that the children’s department is so busy that we are now staffing the department with a back-up person, which is something we don’t usually do upstairs.
A discussion was held on the township school reading list. After the discussion, it was decided that any complaints or comments should be directed to the Board of Education.
A DVD from the NJ State Library and InfoLink has been made available to the library for staff viewing. The topic is Autism Spectrum Disorder.
We are waiting for the Township to release the check to Home Depot for the kitchen cabinets.
NEW BUSINESS
Neptune Day is scheduled for September 6th. Supplies and give-a-ways have been ordered. John Bonney will be the lead supervisor in place of Marian this year and the Friends will be running the book fair.
It has been decided that a four-day work week will not happen for the library at this time. However, scheduling is being done to open the library an hour earlier. There will be more information on this matter at the next meeting.
Marian will be reaching out to Public Works to get the letters on the front window repaired.
ADJOURNMENT
