STATEWIDE SUMMER READING CLUB 2006
The New Jersey State Library and The New Jersey Library Association
are sponsoring the statewide Summer Reading
Club 2006
"Paws,
Claws, Scales and Tales"
Signups begin June 19th.
Join us for our KICK OFF PARTY at 3:00 - 4:00 PM
Open to any child ages 2 and up.
Children will earn chances for prizes throughout the Summer Reading Club,
as well as a party at the end with a "big prize".
Special prize drawing for children who sign up on the first day.
In
the past prizes we have given: coupons for McDonald's, Cone Zone and
donations from local merchants as prizes for Summer Reading Club participants.
Each year children participate in Neptune Public Library's summer reading program which encourages children to enjoy all of the benefits that reading over the summer offers. Parties, fun entertainment, prizes, reading logs, contests and drawings, storytelling, programs, arts & crafts and a wonderful collection of reading materials are just some of the elements that make Neptune's summer reading program a huge success. In past years, children throughout Neptune have participated and kept track of all of their favorite summer reading titles. The program has become a much-anticipated event that parents, teachers and students begin looking forward to as summer approaches. This year, the NJ State Library is sponsoring the theme of this year's program which will be: Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds .
