TUTORING POLICY

The Neptune Township Library believes that tutoring is an activity in line with the Library’s role as an educational support center in the community. Use of the Library for this purpose is restricted to non-profit (ie: Literacy Volunteers) tutoring only. Please keep the following policy in mind while using the Library for tutoring:

1.      Only one person may be tutored at any time.

2.      Tutors are responsible for children under 18 years of age while on Library property until released to a parent/guardian or to authorized transportation.

3.      No food, drinks, or sports equipment are permitted in the Library.

4.      Tutors are requested to use the adult department for tutoring.

5.      Children being tutored are expected to follow all rules of the Library.

6.      It is the responsibility of the tutor and the student to make all arrangements prior to arrival at the Library. The Library will not allow incoming or outgoing calls between the tutor and the student on Library equipment.
